Docomomo US/Hawai‘i is pleased to invite you to our 2022 Annual Membership Meeting and Walking Tour. Take a trip downtown and relive the pedestrian days of the Fort Street Mall!

The Annual Meeting will start at 9am and is free to all members. We will be meeting at Kamali‘i Park behind the Beretania St Fire Station. This is an opportunity for Docomomo Hawai‘i to give a summary of this past year’s events, as well as discuss plans for the upcoming year.

The meeting will be followed up by our Walking Tour along historic Fort Street, starting at the intersection of Fort Street & Beretania, we’ll head Makai and end at Ala Moana Blvd. Join us in a guided tour as we traverse the pedestrian mall while soaking in the vendors and shops. Learn about how this bustling two way trafficked street became a pedestrian friendly shopping destination.

This tour will be guided in-person small groups starting at 10am and run on the 15 min interval.

‍Purchase your tickets here for either a 10, 10:15, 10:30, or 10:45am start time. Tickets cost $35/person and include a tour booklet.

There is also a real time guided tour available for on-line viewing, at a cost of $5. Additional tour booklets can be purchased at $5, and orders received before October 1st will have them sent prior to the day of the tour. Booklets purchased after October 1st will be mailed out after the event.

The tour will end in a reception at the Center for Architecture and will include refreshments and pupu's for ticket holders.
